[[Hi, my name is Jason]] | # On Service Service seems impossible as it takes truly getting to know who you are serving and how to best give them what they need while maintaining your own needs. My first experience of service landed in the Cool Class, my multi-grade elementary school classroom. I had the privilege of serving as the student council president. I recall negotiating more recess time and fun lessons for my fellow students. When election came next year I lost due to my opponent offering a soda machine for the lunch room. After delivery the students seldom used it and he stopped showing to the meetings. While it sounded good at the time the soda machine was not what we needed. What we needed was an active and engaged president.
